What is HoverCom ?

HoverCom is a web extension available on Chrome, Firefox and Opera that enables users to comment and share their thoughts on any web page, with a single account.

How to download HoverCom and create an account?

First, download the web extension on either Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons. Then, create an account directly on the web extension. Do not hesitate to use one of the following tutorials to help you install the web extension:

What can I comment on?

You can comment and share your thoughts on absolutely any webpage be it news, products, videos, movies, restaurants or any other content! A single thread of comments is created for and associated to each webpage.

How do I comment?

To leave a comment, you need to click on the « Leave Ur Com » button at the bottom of the web extension.
In addition, although it’s optional, you may choose to share your feelings and write a title for your comment.

How do I know if there are comments on the webpage I am browsing?

How do I know if I received notifications?

If you receive notifications, a red dot will instantaneously appear on HoverCom’s icon.
You receive notifications when another user replies or reacts to one of your comments or starts following you.

How do I change my profile picture?

Profile picture must be changed on the profile page of our website. You can access this page by either:

• clicking on your current profile picture in the web extension and then signing in on our website,
• or direclty going to the sign in page of our website.

Please note that, at this time, profile picture cannot be changed directly on the web extension.

What are the rules on HoverCom?

People that access and use HoverCom must comply with our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Note that, at HoverCom, we promote discussion in a spirit of mutual respect and that we will not tolerate any action that jeopardizes this objective.

In addition, we also commit to comply with agreements we have with platforms where our web extension is distributed and we will take necessary action to respect these agreements.

How do we rank comments?

At HoverCom, we value collaboration and discussion among users.
Hence, we give extra visibility to insightful comments that positively contribute to the discussion. Votes are an important feature in assessing the quality of comments and, as a user, you definitely play a strong role in helping us to promote interesting comments for the community.
